We are recruiting for a large, vibrant primary setting situated in a diverse community. Roles & Responsibilities
  • Targeted Interventions: Deliver structured literacy and numeracy booster sessions to small groups to accelerate progress.

  • Inclusion Support: Provide 1:1 assistance for pupils with specific learning needs (SEND), ensuring they can access the full curriculum.

  • Language Support: Assist pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in developing their communication and social skills.

  • Behaviour Facilitation: Consistently implement the school's positive behaviour strategies to maintain a calm and productive learning atmosphere.

  • Resource Preparation: Collaborate with the Class Teacher to prepare and adapt high-quality learning materials for a diverse cohort.

  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and record pupil achievements, providing insightful feedback during staff progress meetings.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) is highly desirable for this role.

  • Community Experience: Previous experience working within a culturally diverse or high-need primary school setting is essential.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English skills to model high standards for the pupils.

  • Resilience: A proven ability to remain calm and proactive in a fast-paced and challenging educational environment.

  • Safeguarding: A comprehensive understanding of current "Keeping Children Safe in Education" (KCSIE) guidance.

  • Compliance: Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undergo a new application.
