About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced After-School Club Manager to lead our Ofsted-registered after-school club. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to manage a safe, engaging, and inclusive setting that supports children’s development and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the club, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and EYFS requirements, leading staff, and providing high-quality play and care for children aged 3-11.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operation of the after-school club
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, EYFS, and safeguarding requirements
Lead, support, and supervise staff, including rotas and performance
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
Maintain accurate records, policies, and risk assessments
Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, staff, and the school
Manage behaviour positively and inclusively
Ensure health & safety standards are met at all time
IT admin skills
About You
You will be an enthusiastic and reliable leader with a genuine passion for working with children.
Essential:
Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above)
Experience working in an Ofsted-registered childcare setting
Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection procedures
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
Previous experience managing or supervising an after-school or wraparound care setting
Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working in partnership with schools
