Summary
Job Summary The Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Specialist Dietitian will work autonomously within a consultant-led service, taking responsibility for the dietetic management of all adult patients with cystic fibrosis. This includes delivering a comprehensive dietetic service across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Lead the ongoing development of a highly specialist dietetic service for adults with cystic fibrosis, providing expert advice and guidance to other healthcare professionals. This will involve active participation in meetings and engagement with national and local strategic service planning groups. Establish and maintain effective links with local services to ensure integrated care. Conduct home visits across the region, working independently and collaboratively with CF practitioners, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, and psychologists during joint consultations. Contribute to dietetic and multidisciplinary research and audit activities to support evidence-based practice and service improvement. Develop advanced expertise in managing complex CF-related comorbidities and liaise closely with relevant specialist teams, including Diabetes, Gastroenterology, and Liver services.
