Summary
Essential Criteria NVQ Level 4 or BTEC Higher National Certificate or equivalent experience Experience of working with people with mental illness and substance misuse Experience of community working and/or lone working Experience of working in rehabilitation services Demonstrates ability to use initiative to deal with situations as they occur Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team Experience of providing supervision Knowledge of the Recovery Model and Social Inclusion Knowledge of rehabilitation principles and how to apply in practice Ability to work creatively and compassionately to support service users and to develop collaborative goals Ability to motivate, engage and support service users in their own recovery and to achieve their goals. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form Ability to develop rapport and therapeutic relationships with service users Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills Maintains professional boundaries Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Demonstrates a sound understanding of the needs of people with mental health and substance misuse needs.
