Are you looking for the first step into a project management and administration role or want a career change? This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the delivery of the Environment Agency’s terrestrial Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (tNCEA) Programme.
The Project Support Assistant role will help to administer the delivery of the
Environment Agency’s tNCEA workstreams, benefits and outcomes. This role requires an organised mind, be detail-orientated; an ability to manage delivery cost and quality; an ability to work well with technical and project management staff; good people skills.
Successful candidates will have:
An eye for detail and the ability to produce accurate work.
Good interpersonal, team working and communication skills.
Good organisational and planning skills and the ability to work to deadlines under pressure.
Strong written English and confident working with basic financial data.
The team
The post will work within the tNCEA Operations team which is focussed on managing the implementation of 11 new monitoring networks. We have a strong team dynamic and believe in the development and support of our colleagues. The team work collaboratively with the wider business and beyond and as such this is a great role to see the breadth of what the Environment Agency does.
Experience/skills required
This would be a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning project management techniques in a fast-paced and supportive team which will bring about transformative change in environmental management and decision making.
Duties will include:
Managing procurement and resource trackers.
Procurement of operational equipment or services.
Minuting technical environmental project meetings.
Monitoring team mailbox.
Working well as part of a dispersed team.
