Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wirral to assist with the appointment of a Project Support Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.05 - £16.64 per hour
Summary:
The Project Support Officer will provide high-quality professional project, financial, and administrative support to the Champs Public Health Collaborative, specifically supporting the Cheshire and Merseyside All Together Smokefree programme. The role sits within the Champs Support Team, hosted by Wirral Council, and the post holder will manage a diverse workload, support programme delivery, and ensure accurate, timely administrative and project support.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative and project support across multiple public health programmes
Draft, format, and produce reports, correspondence, and presentation materials to a high standard
Arrange and coordinate meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes, venues, catering, and follow-up actions
Maintain effective diary management, including travel and accommodation arrangements
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, redirecting as appropriate
Handle telephone enquiries from senior managers, partners, and members of the public
Qualification:
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C or above)
ECDL or equivalent IT competency
Essentials:
Previous experience in an administrative or project support role within an office environment
Experience supporting senior managers and working at a high-level administrative capacity
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and information governance requirements
