Summary
Mechanical Engineer – Bristol
A strong opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of a wide range of building services projects across Bristol, the Southwest and beyond. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical design, problem-solving and working as part of a high-performing multi-disciplinary team.
The Opportunity
You will contribute to mechanical design delivery across multiple sectors, preparing detailed engineering solutions, supporting project coordination and taking responsibility for technical output on your assigned tasks. There is strong scope to manage smaller packages independently and grow into larger responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed, coordinated and efficient mechanical designs
Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings and technical reports
Design HVAC and associated mechanical systems using modern software tools
Attend design team meetings, client meetings and site inspections
Support technical delivery across a variety of project types and sizes
Work independently on tasks and potentially manage small projects
Contribute to innovation, process improvement and technical development
Ensure accuracy, quality and compliance across all deliverables
What You Need
Proven experience delivering mechanical engineering work across complex projects
Strong understanding of HVAC and wider mechanical building services
Experience working within multi-disciplinary environments and consultancy settings
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and other relevant design tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently to deadlines
A collaborative, open-minded and proactive approach
Knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry guidance
