Summary

Personal Lines Property Claims Handler
I’m recruiting for an experienced Personal Lines Property Claims Handler to join a technically strong property claims team handling claims from FNOL through to settlement.
This role suits someone who knows property claims inside out; policy coverage, liability, quantum, supplier management and is comfortable running their own caseload in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
You’ll be handling a mixed portfolio of personal lines property claims, liaising directly with policyholders, loss adjusters, surveyors and contractors, and making fair, well-reasoned decisions in line with policy wording and FCA requirements.

What you’ll be doing

- Managing property claims cradle to grave
- Assessing coverage, liability and settlement values
- Working closely with adjusters, surveyors and repair networks
- Keeping customers informed and managing expectations throughout
- Identifying potential fraud and escalating where appropriate
- Ensuring FCA compliance, TCF principles and accurate file management
- Contributing to process improvements and technical discussions

What they’re looking for

- Proven experience handling personal lines property claims
- Strong knowledge of home and landlord policy wordings
- Comfortable managing repairs, suppliers and third parties
- Confident decision-maker with good technical judgement
- Organised, detail-focused and able to manage volume without losing quality
- Experience working in an FCA-regulated environment

Nice to have

- Cert CII / Cert CILA (or working towards)

Package

- Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
- Full-time role
- Hybrid based with Remote considered (With requirement of 1 day per month in office)
- Good technical exposure and development opportunity
