Summary

Property Desktop Adjuster
Remote / Hybrid
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000

IPS are recruiting for an experienced Desktop Claims Adjuster to join a busy property claims team handling end to end Commercial or Domestic property claims.
You’ll manage a portfolio of property claims from FNOL through to settlement, with responsibility for coverage assessment, liability, quantum and customer communication throughout the lifecycle of the claim. This is a technical role within a regulated environment, requiring sound judgement and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

- Handling personal lines property claims from first notification through to settlement
- Assessing policy coverage, exclusions and endorsements in line with policy wordings
- Investigating claims circumstances and validating liability and quantum
- Liaising with loss adjusters, surveyors, contractors and other third parties
- Managing customer expectations and handling escalations or complaints where required
- Identifying potential fraud indicators and escalating appropriately
- Ensuring accurate file management, reserving and audit-ready documentation
- Working in line with FCA regulations, TCF principles and internal procedures
- Contributing to process improvements and best practice within the claims function

Technical knowledge and experience required:

- Solid understanding of personal lines property insurance, including home and landlord policies
- Experience handling claims from FNOL through to settlement
- Knowledge of property repairs, reinstatement processes and supplier management
- Understanding of FCA regulation, conduct risk and compliance requirements
- Experience working with claims management systems and strong IT skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment

Cert CII or Cert CILA is preferred but not essential.
This role suits someone who is technically capable, customer-focused and looking to build on their experience within a structured but supportive claims environment.
