Summary
Training Delivery: to include level of responsibility for: Deliver core and refresher Moving & Handling training to staff across all departments in line with Trust policy and national legislation. Provide practical skills training, including use of equipment such as hoists, slings, slide sheets, lateral transfer devices, and specialist aids. Adapt training to different staff groups, including clinical teams and administrative staff. Maintain accurate training records and contribute to compliance reporting. Advisory and Clinical Support: include level of responsibility for: Act as a point of contact for moving and handling queries from clinical areas. Support local teams with patient-specific moving and handling plans, particularly for complex cases. Support MH co-ordinator with workplace assessments to identify risks and recommend safe working practices. Provide guidance on appropriate equipment selection and safe use. Regular visits to wards and departments to liaise with staff in order to promote the role of Moving and Handling. Ensure that areas are using safe practice/ appropriate equipment that supports both staff and service user needs. Please see attached job description for further information
