BAR MANAGER – JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
1. Supervises the use of the Club when ever present.
2. Operates the bar according to Club Rules, and Licensing Laws.
3. Maintains the security of the premises and instructs the bar staff accordingly.
4. Reports to the House Committee, Rear Commodore and Treasurer and implements their instructions.
5. Preparing and managing a quarterly bar staff rota to ensure the bar is open during the required opening hours.
6. Instructs bar staff on bar operations and the necessity for visitors to be properly signed in.
7. Maintains bar stock inventory.
8. Creates drink price list and keeps it updated.
9. Determines bar and cleaning staff schedules.
10. Oversees bar and cleaning staff. to ensure the premises, including the kitchen, both internally and externally, including the paved area below the archway are kept clean, hygienic, and tidy.
11. Appropriately delegates tasks to staff.
12. Ensures bar and cellar are well-stocked, and both kept clean and hygienic.
13. Initiates and maintains vendor relationships.
14. Selects and purchases drink and other supplies.
15. Ordering and attending the delivery of bar stocks.
16. Ensuring that the beer lines and beer engine dispensing nozzles are kept clean and hygienic, on a weekly basis.
17. Tracks customer sales using point of sale technology.
18. Maintains budget and monitors costs, advising on adjustments to bar pricing policy.
19. Uses point-of-sale tracking technology.
20. In conjunction with the Social Secretary maintains the Club events and music nights booking diary; oversees planning for dedicated events.
21. Monitors the clubhouse@royal-welsh.com email address.
22. Assesses the defibrillator on a regular basis in accordance with the ‘Circuit’ mobile reminders.
23. Reporting to Flag officers any persons behaving contrary to the best interests of the Club
24. Weekly cashing up and depositing money at the Bank, advising the Treasurer on a weekly basis.
25. Monthly sales and stock reports via point-of-sale technology.
26. Performing any reasonable additional duties as requested by the line manager or Treasurer.
27. Ensuring that no other person than the designated, trained, and capable bar staff is allowed behind the bar.
