The role
DDC are looking to appoint an Estate Officer. The successful candidate preferably will be a qualified Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer or have a minimum of 7 years commercial property experience. You will need to be a team player and will fit seamlessly into our busy team, sharing our commitment to deliver excellence.
Working within the Property Assets team and reporting to the Estate Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the estates team’s delivery of a professional valuation and corporate estate management service for the Council. Assisting the team to ensure the Council meets its statutory and contractual obligations in connection with Dover District Council’s land and commercial property holdings, they will provide valuation and estate management advice to other council departments.
What are we looking for?
Sound knowledge of commercial and residential property valuation, building construction and property defects, commercial estate management including the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.
Good ICT skills
The ability to be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
Experience of working in the public sector (desirable)
Relevant technical qualification RICS (desirable) and Registered Valuer (desirable) Degree (essential)
Remuneration will depend on experience.
A full driving license is required for this role.
