Summary
GCIL.FR/EM/1.25 Personal Assistant (PA) Required
FR is a sociable and energetic young man who enjoys being active and spending time out in the community as well as relaxing at home watching Disney movies or youtube film clips. He’s looking for a caring and enthusiastic PA to help him maintain his active and fulfilling lifestyle.
A typical day for FR might include attending day centre in the morning, attending the gym/swimming pool or will simply spend time at home watching films, youtube clips and bible stories in the afternoon.
It will be your role to support FR to/from his hobbies which include (but not limited to) going to swimming club, bowling, drama club, dancing and the cinema. FR at times may require you to provide gentle reminders to attend the toilet. He can sometime wander without notice, so it’s your responsibility to always be aware of his whereabouts in the community to keep him safe. Ultimately, it’s your role to encourage FR’s goal to live and feel more independent in his life by fostering a positive and encouraging working relationship.
You don’t need specific qualifications—what matters most is having a positive attitude, being reliable and willingness to learn. Previous support experience would be helpful but is not necessary.
If you’re someone who is patient, trustworthy, who enjoys being out and about, and likes making a positive difference - you could be a great fit!
PA role is 8 hours per week @ £14.00 per hour based in Strathbungo (G41).
