Summary

Our client, a respected educational institution in Skelmersdale, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join their team as a Part-Time SEND Welfare Assistant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring their well-being and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

As a SEND Welfare Assistant, you will work closely with the SEND team to provide personalised support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the implementation of individual education plans, facilitating small group sessions, and providing one-to-one support as needed. You will also collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create inclusive lesson plans and adapt materials to meet the diverse needs of SEND students.

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for working with children and young people, particularly those with special educational needs. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations are essential qualities for this role.
