Do you want to be involved in improving the maternity care? Are you organised and passionate about ensuring our services are safe and of high
quality?
We are recruiting an experienced midwife to lead perinatal mortality reviews. The role will encompass working with a varied multi disciplinary
team and completing the nationally recommended Perinatal mortality review tool in its entirety. You will coordinate all actions and drive forward any necessary changes that arise from that review to ensure that families receive high quality safe care. The role will also include supporting the quality governance team with case reviews which are conducted by external bodies and facilitate completion of actions and necessary systemchanges in response to case reviews where required.
Main duties of the job will include but not be limited to:
Completing the PMRT process from beginning to end (e.g. initial review, duty of candour, chronology, family involvement, arranging and chairing
of the review meetings, follow up of actions, completion of any mandatory and/or local reporting, staff and service user debrief).
Being the first point of contact for PMRT for both professionals and families. Ensuring that we remain compliant with PMRT timescales, recommendations and service changes.
Ensuring that staff are receiving training and are knowledgeable about PMRT and other external review bodies.
Support the quality governance team with cases referred to external review bodies as required.
