Summary
About the role:
This post is to assist with the delivery of the Climate Strategy and our transition to Net Zero at Powys Council. Working with the Head of Service for Climate you will assist with delivering evidence-based reports to deliver real change.
This role has a strong focus on carbon reporting, analytics, and supply chain data quality.
About you:
Experience in carbon reporting, designing and implementing climate strategies within Local Government. Aptitude for analytics, and supply chain data management, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft data analysis tools and visualisation is required.
Experience supporting scope 3 and tier 2 carbon accounting
Experience developing and reporting on KPIs, action plans, and Board-level sustainability reporting.
What you will do:
The post holder will drive the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the Council’s Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan, with particular emphasis on scope 3 carbon accounting, the transition to tier 2 reporting, and enhancing the quality of supply chain data. The role supports Net Zero objectives and the Well-being of Future Generations Act 2015, ensuring outcomes align with Sustainable Powys principles.
