Summary

Bodmin Town Council is entering a pivotal and ambitious period of change. Following extensive consultation, evidence gathering and organisational review, the Council has adopted a clear four year Strategic Plan with defined Aims and Objectives, setting out how we will deliver meaningful outcomes for our town across People, Place and Potential.

This is an exciting time to join a modern, progressive council that is moving decisively from planning into delivery. To support this transition, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Programme & Regeneration Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of our capital projects and regeneration programme.

This is a senior, influential role at the heart of the organisation. You will translate strategic ambition into funded, achievable and professionally managed projects, overseeing feasibility, business cases, funding bids and delivery frameworks. From heritage assets and public realm improvements to community facilities, environmental projects and income generating initiatives, you will play a central role in shaping Bodmin’s future.

Working closely with Members, the Town Clerk, Senior Leadership Team and external partners, you will help embed a strong delivery culture, introduce consistent project management practice and ensure that the Council is ready to progress confidently through Bronze, Silver and Gold phases of delivery.

We are looking for someone with strong programme and project management experience, excellent written and verbal skills, and a commitment to public service and place based regeneration. You will be confident working in a political environment, able to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, and motivated by achieving visible, lasting outcomes for communities.

In return, we offer the opportunity to work on a genuinely ambitious programme of work, in a supportive organisation committed to improvement, transparency and modern local government practice.

If you want to help turn strategy into reality and be part of shaping a thriving future for Bodmin, we would welcome your application. Applications will only be accepted on the official application form. CVs will not be considered alone, however may be supplied alongside the application form if you like. Applications must be submitted no later than mid-day on Monday 19th January 2026
