Woodlands School supports pupils aged 11-19 with autism. Therefore, our vision for the new school building of Woodlands must be to provide a facility that supports Woodlands School to become a hub of excellence and ensure the achievement of ‘Learning for living'. Excellence runs through this school and every opportunity for the school to achieve excellence must be supported through building design.
Riverbank School, Ty Gwyn School and Woodlands School are part of the Western Learning Federation and as it is the only special school federation in Wales. We are a truly unique organisation where our schools support pupils aged 3-19 with Autism and/or profound and complex needs.
The Western Learning Federation promotes all schools as ‘Schools as Learning Organisations’. The foundations are built on a shared vision of ‘learning together to grow and achieve’. There is a culture and ethos of enquiry, innovation and exploration, with a focus on the collation and exchanging of learning knowledge.
