Are you a proactive, trauma-informed practitioner with a passion for supporting People on Probation to progress into education, training and employment? We are seeking an Outreach & Activity Hub Coach to deliver a blended model of outdoor group activity and structured, person-centred hub-based support across the East Midlands.

This innovative programme will enable participants to gain practical work skills through partnerships with outdoor and environmental organisations, including projects linked to bodies such as the Forestry Commission. Participants will learn new, transferable skills designed to build confidence, improve employability and create pathways into future training and employment opportunities.

You will support participants through an 8-week cohort programme, including a focused move-on period, helping them stabilise, build confidence and overcome barriers to progression.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Enrolling and supporting People on Probation onto programme.
  • Completing assessments and co-producing individual action plans.
  • Transport cohorts to outreach and outdoor sites using project vehicles.
  • Facilitate structured outdoor activities that build confidence, wellbeing and work-readiness.
  • Apply dynamic risk assessment, safeguarding and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
  • Deliver 1:1 and group interventions focused on ETE progression.
  • Support participants with CVs, interview skills, digital basics and workplace behaviours.
  • Provide practical barrier-removal support, including disclosure guidance.
  • Signpost and broker referrals to training providers, employers and specialist services.
  • Support participant move-on into training, employment or specialist provision.
  • Liaise with Probation Practitioners and partners to coordinate attendance and progress.
  • Maintain high-quality case notes, outcomes tracking and timely reporting.
  • Uphold GDPR, safeguarding and lone-working policies.Deliver support at designated outreach sites across the region.
  • Champion an inclusive, strengths-based and psychologically informed approach.
We Are looking for someone who brings:
  • Experience supporting People on Probation or similar justice-involved or complex-needs cohorts.
  • Confidence facilitating groups outdoors and in hub or classroom settings.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and Health & Safety.
  • Knowledge of local education, training and employment pathways.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including motivational interviewing and de-escalation.
  • First Aid at Work or outdoor delivery qualifications.
  • Trauma-informed or PIE experience.
  • Experience co-producing action plans with participants.

Due to the locations covered you will need to be able to travel across the wider East Midlands Region.
