ABOUT US

Ocean Exmouth is a dynamic restaurant and leisure destination right on the seafront, celebrated for outstanding food, warm
hospitality, and a buzzing atmosphere. With exciting changes ahead—including a transformation of The Deck into a modern
brasserie-style dining space—we’re searching for an ambitious Kitchen Manager who’s eager to make their mark, elevate our culinary
reputation, and help Ocean Exmouth become a true landmark in the region.


THE ROLE

As Kitchen Manager, you’ll take the reins of a multi-outlet kitchen operation, working across our sports bar, event space, and
soon-to-be brasserie-style Deck. You will work with our Business Managers, bringing creativity and precision to every plate, and
ensuring seamless daily operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape menus, transform dishes into exceptional dining
experiences, and lead Ocean Exmouth to new culinary heights.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead daily kitchen operations across multiple outlets, setting the bar for quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Manage rotas, staff scheduling, and training to build an ambitious, high-performing team.
* Oversee ordering, stock control, and food waste reduction, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.
* Innovate and refresh our culinary offering—especially as The Deck evolves into a brasserie-style dining experience.
* Work with our events team to deliver top-tier catering for our 250-seat event space, inspiring memorable occasions through
exceptional food.
* Champion food safety, health standards, and compliance (including COSHH, PPE, and first aid), maintaining a spotless and safe
kitchen environment.
* Conduct regular equipment checks and report issues promptly to keep operations running smoothly.
* Foster a positive, inclusive culture—motivating your team to strive for excellence and supporting their growth and development.






ABOUT YOU

* Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role in a fast-paced, multi-outlet kitchen
environment.
* Ambitious, driven, and ready to establish your reputation while putting Ocean Exmouth firmly on the culinary map.
* Expert knowledge in menu development, dish transformation, and creating exceptional dining experiences.
* Passion for delivering outstanding event catering and collaborating with our events team to enhance our 250-seat venue’s
offering.
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
* Deep understanding of food safety, allergens, and health regulations.
* Skilled at training, motivating, and nurturing talented teams.
