An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Coventry. This role would suit an ECT Science Teacher or an experienced Science Teacher looking to join a well-resourced department with a strong practical and academic focus.

As a Science Teacher, you will be part of a collaborative team delivering engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with a strong emphasis on curiosity, experimentation, and scientific thinking.

Key Responsibilities

The successful Science Teacher will be responsible for:

• Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4

  
  

• Planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons

  
  

• Assessing and tracking pupil progress effectively

  
  

• Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

  
  

• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and safety in laboratories

  
  

• Supporting pupils of all abilities, including SEND

  
  Requirements

  To be considered for this Science Teacher role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it

    
    

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science (specialism welcome)

    
    

  • Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4

    
    

  • Confident classroom and lab management

    
    

  • A collaborative and reflective teaching approach

    
    

  • Strong commitment to safeguarding
