Introduction to the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Coventry. This role would suit an ECT Science Teacher or an experienced Science Teacher looking to join a well-resourced department with a strong practical and academic focus.
As a Science Teacher, you will be part of a collaborative team delivering engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with a strong emphasis on curiosity, experimentation, and scientific thinking.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful Science Teacher will be responsible for:

Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4

Planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons

Assessing and tracking pupil progress effectively

Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and safety in laboratories

Supporting pupils of all abilities, including SEND
RequirementsTo be considered for this Science Teacher role, you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it

Strong subject knowledge in Science (specialism welcome)

Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4

Confident classroom and lab management
-
A collaborative and reflective teaching approach

Strong commitment to safeguarding
