Liaise with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead to ensure Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles are embedded in all Learningand OD interventions and robust equality impact assessments are undertaken. Lead, develop and empower direct reports in line with the all Wales Compassionate Principles and Organisational Values to facilitate aculture of growth and innovation delivering high quality outcomes. Work in collaboration with key stakeholders locally and nationally to maximise Learning and OD opportunities. Lead on the design, development, delivery and implementation of Learning and OD initiatives to meet the needs of the service andservice users. Contribute to the responsiveness of OD in relation to organisational strategic and operational plans. Represent ABUHB as appropriate at conference/meeting etc. as required. Organisational Development Work closely with the OD Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support the development of strategic planning in relation to the delivery ofthe People Plan. Share knowledge/skills and expertise with peers and implement any service improvement aligned to the OD portfolio. Work collaboratively with Senior Organisation Development Practitioners to ensure OD activity is intuitive and responsive toOrganisational and national strategy. Work collaboratively with clinical / non clinical leads and divisional education practitioners to support the OD agenda. Review ways of working ensuring they are accessible and engage in mediums that are appropriate for different staff groups maximisingthe use of digital technology where this is appropriate. Manage and maintain internal quality assurance processes. Identify, analyse and interpret data to enhance the effective design, delivery and evaluation of OD projects. Plan and prioritise own work, to ensure effective support to all areas and delivery of key objectives, monitoring, evaluating and adjustingaccordingly. Work with OD coordinator and OD officer roles to ensure effective service provision. Communications Using and understanding complex information, multi-factorial strands of communication both internal and external to the organisation.This will involve being able to use a variety of communication styles, to overcome communication barriers and achieve effective delivery,for example qualitative data resulting from evaluations and questionnaires. Design and present specialist training courses on complex issues eg Oracle Learning Management system, Corporate Induction, Statutoryand Mandatory Training to groups of around 20- 25 people. Foster positive, collegial relationships with members of the interdisciplinary team and multi-agency partners. e.g. meetings, conferences and careers events. Provide leadership and direction across situations where complex ideas or concepts need to be conveyed and implemented across theorganisation in easily understood language. For example, supporting individuals and managers with easily accessible information e.g.Accessible Induction resources, accessible mandatory and statutory training information. Develop close working relationships with the trade unions and professional bodies to facilitate good partnership working to enable thenew organisation to modernise the workforce and meet business objectives. The post holder will provide support and guidance sessions to individuals and teams where a need for staff development has beenidentified. This will require highly developed motivational, negotiating, coaching or facilitation skills. Analytical The post holder will analyse and interpret data, some of which will be complex in nature such as training need analysis and pertinentsurveys. Utilising judgement and critical thinking skills to make comparisons to inform the delivery of appropriate outcomes, assess andrecommend course of action on complex learning and OD issues. Exercise specialist knowledge across a range of professional and managerial work procedures and practices e.g. knowledge of digitalmarketing resources, statutory and mandatory training and corporate induction. Planning Plans the implementation OD interventions in complex environments across the organisation. Formulating and adjusting plans to meetservice needs.Policy Proposes changes to Workforce and Organisational Development policies within their remit to promote the OD Agenda which wouldimpact across the organisation. Finance Take responsibility for managing OD resources within areas of responsibility and signing of expenses for direct reports. To support the achievement financial balance and/or surplus within areas of responsibility. Ensure robust systems of governance (clinical, staff, audit and information) and risk management are in place. Human resources Line Management of the administrator roles within their remit. This will include coaching, resource planning, performance management,appraisals and support with team and individual development. Line manager staff in adherence with mandatory, statutory and CPD requirements of the Health Board. The post holder will provide advice and guidance regarding Learning and OD to individuals and teams, to ensure appropriate CPD isidentified Information The post holder will be required to regularly contribute to the production of complex reports and presentations based on a range ofinformation from a variety of sources. Writing reports for a wide range of groups including the Senior OD leadership team and Peopleand Culture Committee Maintain robust information governance procedures and confidentiality adhering to relevant policies, legislation and concepts of good practice Freedom to act Responsible for the day-to-day operational management and lead the development of all services within the post holders portfolio,balancing the need for proactive service development and leadership against the reactive demand of operational responsibilities andstakeholders. The post holder will need to assimilate and summarise complex documents, compare facts and analyse situational data from a range ofsources, develop options and assess risks and opportunities to the organisation and facilitate consensus building and decision making.
