We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established building services organisation for an Operations Supervisor to support the delivery of plumbing, electrical and air conditioning services across residential and commercial environments.
This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor or junior manager looking to step into a broader operational leadership position within a multi-disciplinary technical setting.
The RoleThe Operations Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operational activity, working closely with engineers, coordinators and management to ensure service delivery meets company standards and customer expectations. Acting as a key point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders, the role plays a vital part in job coordination, quality control and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities-
Schedule and direct engineering teams to meet service demand and customer expectations

Support recruitment, onboarding and training of operations coordinators and team members

Supervise daily activities of the Operations team to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery

Review completed work to ensure quality standards are met and report findings to the Operations Director

Assist with performance reviews, appraisals and setting improvement objectives

Provide regular feedback on team performance to senior management

Liaise with mechanical, electrical and air conditioning departments to ensure effective resource planning

Communicate daily with engineering teams to support job management and maintain standards

Report on project progress, labour hours, materials and estimated completion times

Maintain supplier communication regarding warranties, product issues and material availability

Review work orders, invoices and time reports to ensure accuracy and support cash flow

Ensure parts and materials are ordered in a timely manner to meet deadlines

Enforce company and departmental policies across the Operations team

Undertake additional duties as required to support operational efficiency
About YouYou will be a proactive and organised supervisor with experience in technical or building services environments. You are comfortable coordinating people, managing workloads and communicating effectively with both engineers and customers.
Essential Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ management or supervisory experience (or equivalent)

Post-secondary education in a trade, technical or related discipline

Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Confident communicator with good customer service and conflict-management skills

Technical aptitude with the ability to problem-solve using available resources

Competent in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general office systems

Positive, improvement-focused mindset with the ability to motivate others

Valid driving licence

Flexibility to work non-standard hours when required

Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment
