37 hours per week

This is an exciting time to join Bridgend CBC and be part of our Children’s residential services and supporting us meet the needs of the children’s, young people we support.

The role is to provide high quality administrative assistance that will assist the manager to operate an effective and efficient service. The role will cover two services with the successful candidate dividing their time between the two.

The responsibilities within the role would be to provide day to day clerical support, this will include maintain and updating electronic files, the administration of the petty cash system and preparation of monthly reimbursement claims, (training will be provided for this). You will be required to undertake general clerical duties, this will include answering telephone calls, photocopying, checking and ordering supplies and attending staff meetings to complete the minutes, amongst other clerical requirements.

There will be requirements to process invoices for payment on the BCBC online system, full training is provided for all our online systems.

Applicants are required to meet some of the attributes within the job specification. A good standard of education equivalent to QCF (NVQ) Level 2 or an ability to demonstrate competence through experience.

Experience working within in an office environment is essential, also experience of implementing administration practices and procedures.
