Summary
Job Title: Registered Manager Location: Surrey Salary: £35,000 to £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-Time, Permanent Reports to: Director of Operations / Managing Director Regulated Activity: Yes (CQC Registered Role) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee our high-quality supported living services for adults with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities, and complex behaviours. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care in accordance with CQC regulations and best practice guidelines. As the Registered Manager, you will lead the service with integrity, drive and compassionensuring compliance, safeguarding, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. Key Responsibilities Regulatory and Compliance Hold and maintain registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Ensure full compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and associated guidance. Prepare for and lead on CQC inspections and maintain a rating of Good or Outstanding. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative, regulatory and policy developments relevant to the service. Service Leadership Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred support tailored to individual needs and outcomes. Promote a culture of openness, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure that services are responsive, inclusive, and adaptable to client needs. Monitor and evaluate service delivery against agreed KPIs and quality standards. Safeguarding and Risk Management Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the service. Ensure timely reporting and robust management of safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures. Staff Management and Development Recruit, supervise and develop staff, ensuring full compliance with safer recruitment practices. Deliver staff supervisions, appraisals, and performance management. Identify training needs and ensure the workforce is skilled, supported, and compliant with mandatory requirements. Promote a culture of learning, reflective practice, and professional development. Client Care and Family Engagement Oversee assessments, support planning, reviews and transitions in partnership with clients, families, and professionals. Ensure support is outcome-focused, strengths-based and promotes independence. Build trusting relationships with families, commissioners and external professionals. Essential Criteria Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a supported living or similar service. NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent). In-depth understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, MCA, DoLS and PBS principles. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead with professionalism, emotional intelligence, and ethical integrity. Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle. Desirable Criteria Experience supporting individuals with autism, challenging behaviour, or forensic backgrounds. Experience managing service transitions, new registrations, or service turnarounds. Working knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Active Support, or trauma-informed care.
