Summary
Job overview The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, to support the delivery of high-quality clinical services under the supervision of the Pre-assessment manager. Main duties of the job To Provide admin support for the team members, including anaesthetists and nursing team. To process information appropriately resulting from outpatient and inpatient episodes within agreed time limits. To manage incoming emails, mail and telephone queries from patients and staff. Coordinate patient flow from Pre-assessment, to high risk, critical care and surgery. Book patients into the high risk anaesthetic clinic and manage their outcomes. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Patient administration underpins the patient journey and supports the clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience. Effective and efficient patient administration supports management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources. The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, to support the delivery of high-quality clinical services under the supervision of the Pre-Assessment Manager. The person will be an important member of the pre-assessment team supporting the smooth running of the pre-assessment service on a daily basis.
