Neway International are seeking a Contact Supervision Worker to join our client based with Birmingham Children’s Trust.

Location: New Aston House, Birmingham Hours: 36.5 per week (Monday–Friday, 08:45–17:15)
Start Date: 20/12/2025

The Role
As a Contact Supervision Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people in care during contact sessions with their families. You will ensure safe transport, supervise interactions, and provide accurate written reports to support safeguarding and care planning.

Key Responsibilities
Safely transport children and young people to and from contact venues.

Supervise contact sessions, ensuring procedures and safeguarding requirements are followed.

Produce clear, structured written reports on each contact session.

Escalate any safeguarding concerns to the Contact Manager and allocated social worker.

Maintain contact rooms to Health & Safety standards.

Assist with duty arrangements and use IT systems as required.

Attend training sessions and contribute to service improvement.

Candidate Requirements
Experience working with children, young people, or families in a social care setting.

Strong communication and observation skills.

Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.

Commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities.

Flexibility to support service needs.

Enhanced DBS check required (role exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act).
