Summary
Neway International are seeking a Contact Supervision Worker to join our client Birmingham Children’s Trust, based at One Avenue.
Location: One Avenue, Birmingham Hours: 36.5 per week (08:00 – 20:00)
Start Date: asap
End Date: on-going
Pay Rates: £13.70 PAYE / £17.65 Umbrella Mileage: £0.45 per mile

The Role
As a Contact Supervision Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people in care during supervised contact sessions with parents, carers, or others identified in their care plan. This is a one-off project assignment requiring dedication, empathy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport children from placements to contact venues and return them after sessions.
Supervise contact between children and parents/carers, ensuring procedures are followed.
Provide clear written reports on contact sessions using the required template.
Report safeguarding concerns promptly to the Contact Manager and allocated social worker.
Assist with duty arrangements and maintain tidy, safe contact rooms.
Use computer applications as required and attend training sessions when needed.
Candidate Requirements
Experience working with children, young people, or families in a social care setting.
Strong safeguarding awareness and ability to respond appropriately to concerns.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Reliability, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
Ability to work flexibly within the specified hours.
Enhanced DBS clearance required (this role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act).
