Carry out inspections and investigations related to feed and animal health laws (these include abattoirs and rendering plants and dealing with animal welfare complaints).
Collect evidence and prepare cases for enforcement, including court action.
Interview suspects under caution and gather evidence for criminal investigations.
Give clear advice and guidance to businesses and stakeholders.
Work with partner organisations such as DEFRA and APHA.
Lead or support projects to improve compliance and protect consumers, businesses and animal welfare.
Represent Lincolnshire County Council at regional and national meetings.

Experience in Trading Standards enforcement, ideally in feed, food and animal health

Good communication skills and ability to explain things clearly
Attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure
Willingness to complete a five-year training programme with both study and practical work
For all applicants:
Strong problem-solving and investigative skills
Ability to work flexibly and manage your own workload
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyse information and make sound decisions
