About the Role
As IT Service Support Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring outstanding service delivery across the IT Directorate and Avon and Somerset Police. You’ll lead a dedicated team, manage service operations, and drive improvements that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to influence service standards, manage critical ITIL processes, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver reliable, high-quality IT services.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading and motivating a team to deliver exceptional IT Service Management support.
Managing service operations including incident, major incident, change, and problem management.
Driving continuous service improvement and eliminating inefficiencies across the IT Directorate.
Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring service levels are met or exceeded.
Overseeing reporting, risk management, and service measures to proactively prioritise and improve IT services.
Supporting strategic objectives and contributing to the overall vision of the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
Significant experience in a mature IT environment and ITIL-based service delivery.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and chairing meetings.
Excellent communication skills – persuasive, clear, and confident across all levels.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver under pressure, and drive continuous improvement.
Highly organised, resilient, and adaptable with a collaborative approach.
