Full Time Equivalent Salary: £28,859 - £31,111 (CLF Grade C)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday / Term Time only including insets
Provisional Start Date: 16 February 2026

Join Our Science Team as a Senior Technician!
We’re looking for a proactive Senior Science Technician to play a key role in delivering outstanding practical learning experiences.
You’ll mentor technicians, prepare exciting experiments, and ensure a safe, well-equipped environment for students and staff. With your expertise in health and safety, resource management, and hands-on support, you’ll help bring science to life in the classroom. If you’re organised, detail-driven, and ready to make a real impact, this is your chance to shine!
About you:
You will have:
Educated to a minimum of A Level standard in science and/or equivalent experience in science such as laboratory experience.
Hold a relevant vocational qualification e.g., COSHH and/or have knowledge of safe working practices in relation to the handling and usage of hazardous equipment and tools which may include knowledge of COSHH regulations and/or CLEAPPS guidance.
An understanding of safe working practices within an academy and practical environment.
Experience of working with children.
Experience of providing technician support within an education-based environment.
Experience of preparing risk assessments.
