Job Details:
As gatekeepers of the motor accounts, you'll be at the heart of our underwriting strategy, helping us navigate uncertainty with confidence. This is your chance to shape how we grow, protect our portfolio, and make bold decisions that drive long-term success.
- Support the achievement of Motor account profitability targets & budgeted KPIs.
- Conduct regular analysis of claims / sales and competitive position, providing analytical support to more junior members of the team.
- Support reporting to Advantage by providing clear, data-driven insights on account performance against targets, highlighting risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of BAU reporting, while continuously enhancing reporting processes to improve efficiency.
- Proactively look for ways to improve how we use our data to make it more efficient, easy to segment & report any issues to the Data Engineering team.
- Build & maintain relationships across the analytical functions to ensure utilisation of latest knowledge and techniques.
- Actively challenge and influence peers and managers to keep the customer's interests at the heart of the business and ensure compliance with governance frameworks .
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a relevant degree and experience with statistics.
- Ability to operate with different types of data manipulation tools (SQL is useful).
- Naturally inquisitive and curious, with a strong desire to explore and understand data .
- Critical thinker with a commitment to uncovering insights through data analysis.
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the capability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
