Summary
Managing staff when required, being the first point of call for patients and staff for any concerns or queries, Will involve clinic and admin work. To effectively lead and coordinate the phlebotomy team that the post holder has been assigned to. To support other teams and senior phlebotomists when need arises. Ensure all records are legible and that there is adherence to confidentiality and correct record keeping within their teams. Ensure statistical information is gathered and recorded as required by the Phlebotomy Service Manager. To provide accurate records in relation any staff performance issues that may arise. The supervision and induction of new Phlebotomy staff within their team and across three sites, to mentor new phlebotomy staff across three sites. Prioritisations and allocation of workload to the team. Autonomously problems solve day to day issues and work collaboratively with other Senior Phlebotomists, Deputy Phlebotomy Manager and Service Manager to ensure quality service provision is maintained at all sites. To ensure their Team work collaboratively and have the ability to resolve any conflict in a timely and professional manner. First line escalation for non- standard queries and complaints.
