UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
We are seeking an experienced Customer Services Assistant to join UHI Perth’s Customer Services team, providing essential term-time support during the academic year. The role involves evening reception cover and plays a key part in delivering excellent service to visitors, students, and staff. Responsibilities include acting as a central information point, operating the main switchboard, answering and directing enquiries, signposting customers to a range of support services, and administering UHI Perth’s Digital Support Scheme. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of administrative tasks, contributing to effective daily operations and supporting the Student Experience teams (including Admissions, Student Funding, Student Records, and Student Support).
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and customer care skills, combined with enthusiasm for working with people and an empathetic approach. Experience in providing a high level of customer service within a reception or customer-facing environment is essential. Strong administrative and IT skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently without supervision are also required.
