This 6 month post is a fellowship for anaesthetists with at least three years of anaesthetic training.
An additional tier of clinical fellows is recruited to manage the increase in acuity and out of hours work at the Royal London Hospital ( The out of hours is focused on supporting the increasing numbers and complexity of cases on labour ward the new mechanical thrombectomy service and the busy emergency theatre at RLH.
The post also offers the opportunity for a clinical fellow to obtain competencies in one of a number of surgical specialties undertaken at RLH (eg neuro, complex obstetrics, perioperative
medicine and high risk preassessment, regional anaesthesia, trauma anaesthesia major abdominal surgery) and to develop their CV b y undertak ing QI projects or research. In addition, each successful candidate will have a dedicated educational supervisor to support their career goals.

Work in a busy and supportive department in anaesthesia at ST 4+ level.
The applicant will take place in a 1:8, 1:9, or 1:10 rota and will allow the site to have additional flexible
anaesthetic cover at night.
Nighttime cover would potentially include acting as an additional anaesthetist on labour ward providing cover for mechanical thrombectomy or covering the emergency theatres
