Summary
Clinical responsibilities - To facilitate discharge of Neonates providing the follow up support in the community - Initiate early discharge if appropriate to the patient - Collaborate & build relationships with Multidisciplinary teams - Act as a source of speciality expertise to parents& carers, Neonatal outreach and the Neonatal teams. - Provide all education teaching/training to parents & carers to facilitate discharges. - Participate In planning and implementation of quality initiatives and targets, in conjunction with the MDT team. - Drive and hold a current driving licence Managerial responsibilities - Lead and manage the outreach service, analysing and scoping to continually develop the service. - Promote good communication and working relationship with the other leads of the service - Lead and manage projects in conjunction with the service and Matrons - Have oversight of the team development, reviewing and supporting them with performance and attendance. - Act on compliments, complaints and feedback accordingly. - Involvement in clinical governance and risk across outreach and the Neonatal service. Education & development - Provide education for families to prepare them for home - Promote and implement evidence-based practice - Ensure an environment conducive to the educational needs of all staff and students. - Lead on programmes of standard setting and audit.
