Summary
To provide a comprehensive support service to users of the systems managed. Liaise with external users of the systems managed, providing support and advice as required, liaising with third party providers where appropriate. Responsible for completing supplier design documentation e.g., Data Collection Workbooks to a high degree of accuracy. To assist in the development of policies and procedures in relation to the systems managed. To undertake periodic audits of data e.g., to ensure compliance with the NHS Data Manual. This will include (but will not relate exclusively) to master files. Undertake testing of new releases Create and manage accounts for new users. Deactivate accounts and user access for leavers. To be responsible for allocating the most appropriate level of system access ensuring that users are provided with the relevant log in details and in accordance with the ICT Security Policy. To work closely with the EPR Workflow Leads and the ICT Training Department ensuring training material and training courses are a true representation of the way the Trust requires the systems managed to be used Following the Change process assist with routine changes such as, but not exclusively, the Oracle patching schedule Provide cross cover for all applications managed by the Clinical Systems Team The post holder is responsible for liaising with operational groups advising on potential changes to working practices as a consequence of Clinical System Team changes On behalf of the EPR Workflow Leads attend in-house and external user group meetings Assist in identifying persistent callers/issues and resolve as appropriate Undertake any other tasks, as requested by the Deputy Digital Clinical Systems Manager in accordance with the grade and nature of the post Liaise with other organisations (which form part of the shared instance) to ensure appropriate governance arrangements are implemented To provide overall management and performance monitoring of the staff for whom this post is responsible To participate in the recruitment and selection of staff and to arrange induction of new starters as required To train new staff in team procedures, keeping detailed records To undertake appraisals and produce personal development plans identifying any training need required to fulfil the duties of the post Become familiar with the basic administration of other ICT systems as directed to provide cover for the system specialists. Undertake any other task, as requested by the EPR Workflow Lead(s), in accordance with the grade and nature of the post. Cover the work of other colleagues within the team during periods of absence. Provide system support out of hours. Support and engage in projects for system(s) enhancement as required. For further details of the role please see the attached job description.
