Summary
Interim Senior Procurement Officer
Day Rate: £300-£340 per day
Location: Birmingham / Hybrid
Contract: 6 months (initially with potential for extension)
A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and deliver high-impact procurement activities across multiple workstreams.
The Role
- Lead full procurement processes, including tenders and supplier contract management.
- Manage procurement for food supplies (predominantly) and other goods/services.
- Oversee and support a small team with day-to-day operational procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and best practice.
About You
- Proven experience in procurement within a public sector or large-scale organisation.
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes and contract management.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Familiarity with food supply chains and logistics is desirable.
