Summary
To maintain the computer record system, for equipment loans and returns, ensuring the accurate recording of information. To obtain quotes from suppliers for equipment following the assessment process as directed by clinicians To raise purchase orders for new equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager To work with the AAC WEST team to ensure equipment is available for the clinical team as required To be responsible for returning equipment to the manufacturers for repair as directed by the Equipment Manager. To back up clients programmes when equipment returned from loan To package outgoing equipment and arrange carriage methods as necessary. To ensure the safe carriage, storage and proper use of records and equipment, working within lifting and handling guidelines. To be responsible for the security and care of equipment and resources used in the course of daily work, ensuring standards of infection control and safety are maintained, in relation to the equipment To keep work area tidy and safe. To maintain upkeep of NHS fleet van (making sure they are clean and stocked accordingly) To drive NHS fleet van to destinations in Trust area To return stock to equipment store and to keep the stock room tidy and orderly To take part in regular audit and stocktake of equipment managed by AAC WEST To maintain up to date and accurate case notes and records in line with Trust Policy, as needed. To bring to the attention of the AAC WEST lead clinicians any issues appropriate to the post and the department. Bring to the attention of line manager any service improvement suggestions. To gather activity data accurately and regularly and to record promptly in line with Trust Policy. To participate in the gathering of data for the purposes of research as required. To carry out other duties that are relevant to the job as may reasonably be assigned To participate in and attend departmental meetings as directed by the AAC WEST manager and clinical lead. To participate in individual performance review and personal development plans in line with Trust Policies. To identify own training needs and to participate in appropriate training accordingly. To keep up to date with Mandatory training.
