Job Description
Based at The Webster Memorial Theatre, High Street, Arbroath
Working as part of a busy operational team, you will support the smooth running of our facilities by carrying out a wide range of duties including supervision, cleaning, maintenance, and setting up equipment for events, meetings and activities. No two days will be the same and your work will directly contribute to creating great experiences for local communities and visitors to Angus.Reporting to the Theatre Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across ANGUSalive’s service areas and business units. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do - together, we deliver innovative services, provide high-quality customer experiences, and support our charitable objectives. Key Responsibilities As a Caretaker, you will:
- Be responsible for the security of the hall and its contents
- Operate and maintain fire and intruder alarms, emergency lighting and undertake general maintenance
- Carry keyholder responsibilities, including opening and closing the building
- Carry out full cleaning duties and basic handyman-style maintenance
- Operate theatre plant equipment
- Set up rooms, equipment and spaces for meetings, conferences and training events
- Operate electronic till systems
- Carry out basic operation of sound, lighting and stage equipment
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and Venue Management Rules
- Supervise lets while they are in the hall and ensure they follow agreed rules and codes of conduct
- Handle personal data in line with data protection legislation and ANGUSalive’s privacy policies
