A leading supported housing organisation for 16-25 year olds is seeking a proactive and reliable Caretaker to join their facilities team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a vital service supporting young people.
You will provide day-to-day caretaking, maintenance and site support across several services within the West Midlands. Working as part of a friendly estates team, you will ensure buildings are safe, clean, and well-maintained, contributing to a welcoming environment for young residents and staff.
- Carry out general repairs, basic maintenance, and safety checks
- Support with site security, cleanliness, and general upkeep
- Respond to maintenance requests across multiple sites
- Report and escalate any health & safety concerns
- Work closely with managers and housing teams to keep services running smoothly
- Full UK driving licence (essential - travel to multiple sites required)
- Previous experience in maintenance, caretaking, facilities, or a similar role
- Basic skills in repairs, DIY, and general building upkeep
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term progression
- 37.5 hours per week
- Salary up to £28,000 per year
