Summary
The Hopewood unit will admit young people from Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire,and from further afield as required by the East-midlands Provider Collaborative, who commission the beds. Cross-cover arrangements for annual and study leave will be arranged between the doctors based in these services. The post holder will have the opportunity to work across the 7 day a week period with flexibility, this can be offered on a voluntary basis to support junior or middle doctors rotas and remunerated separately. The post holder may be required to carry out pre-admission assessments in other CAMHS bases across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. There will rarely be home visits as part of the MDT to aid assessment pre or post admission. This is a 10 PA post based at the purpose built Hopewood site which opened in 2018. The Specialty Doctor will be employed by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and will join the fifteen other NHS Consultants and two Academic Consultants in the CAMHS service. This is an excellent and career-enhancing opportunity to work within a high quality Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. This full-time post will provide medical and psychiatric support to the ward.
