Experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist – Ballet Pointe Shoes
Location: Earl Shilton, Leicestershire (LE9 7HS)
Hours: 39 hours per week (permanent)
Pay: National Minimum/Living Wage (age 21+)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. You will play an important role in the production of ballet pointe shoes, ensuring each pair meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Binding ballet pointe shoes using Cylinder Arm binding machinery and inserting drawstrings
• Sewing pointe shoe uppers using Industrial Single and Twin Needle Lockstitch machines
• Working to set targets in a fast-paced production environment
• Collaborating with team members while also managing your own workload
Required Skills & Experience
• Previous industrial sewing machine experience (essential)
• Strong manual/practical ability
• Good organisational skills
• Reliable attendance and solid work ethic
• Ability to meet quality and production targets
Working Hours
• Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
(includes 30-minute lunch + two 10-minute breaks)
• Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
(includes one 10-minute break)
