Summary

Join an Outstanding Organisation Driving Innovation in Community Healthcare

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead - Podiatry to lead our Merton service. This is a rare opportunity to shape delivery, drive quality improvement, and provide advanced clinical care for patients with complex foot health needs, including complex foot health needs, including diagnostics, advanced assessment techniques and advanced and curative treatment options

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) is at the forefront of modern, integrated community healthcare. As one of the first wave of applicants to the Advanced Foundation Trust Programme part of the NHS 10‑Year Health Plan we are helping reinvigorate the foundation trust model for today’s health and care system. Our focus is simple but bold: deliver the public’s priorities, ensure exceptional value for money, and consistently achieve outstanding quality of care as reflected in NHS Oversight Framework measures and Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings.

At CLCH, we don’t just deliver services - we innovate, collaborate, and transform lives. Our performance has been recognised for improving productivity and clinical outcomes through pioneering approaches, evidence‑based practice, and strong partnerships across pathways and providers.

PLEASE NOTE: Face to face interviews will be held on Tuesday 13th January 2026

You will provide strategic and clinical leadership across the podiatry service, ensuring that care is safe, effective, personalised, and equitable. You’ll lead a diverse team, nurture a culture of learning and psychological safety, and work with partners across primary care, acute trusts, and community services to strengthen pathways and reduce unwarranted variation.

The role combines service leadership, clinical governance, workforce development, and hands‑on expert clinical practice for complex caseloads. You’ll champion digital and data‑driven improvements, leading on demand–capacity management, pathway optimisation, and the standardisation of clinical practice, aligned to best evidence and local formulary guidance.

The candidate will be supported by our network of clinical leads across the Trust, including a dedicated professional development lead, and an AHP professional lead for podiatry. They will work in tandem with the operational leadership team within the division to allow them to maintain their clinical speciality and advanced practice.

Just as we care about our patients’ well-being, we care about yours!

We can offer you:
• A comprehensive induction into the community service followed by a local induction to introduce you to the role
• Car lease scheme (only available for Band 5 and up)
• Flexible working options
• Annual travel card loan
• Training, support and development in your career
