Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Working directly with client managers, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting requirements for a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses:
• Bookkeeping: Managing client records, processing invoices, bank reconciliations, and preparing monthly/quarterly financial reports.
• Payroll: Executing weekly/monthly payroll runs for a range of clients, including all necessary compliance (RTI submissions, statutory payments, etc.).
• VAT & Compliance: Preparing, calculating, and submitting client VAT returns, ensuring full MTD (Making Tax Digital) compliance.
• Month-End: Assisting with the preparation of accurate month-end management accounts and reconciliation schedules.
• Annual Accounts: Preparing small business statutory accounts and supporting documentation ready for review by senior staff.
• Client Support: Acting as a first-line contact for client queries regarding their day-to-day financial data and software usage.
What You'll Bring (Required Skills & Experience)
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of continuous experience working within a UK accountancy practice (essential).
• Qualification: Either part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by extensive, relevant experience (QBE).
• Software Proficiency: Demonstrable working knowledge of at least one of the following key accounting platforms: SAGE, Quickbooks, or Xero.
• Core Skills: Strong technical knowledge of core accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and UK tax compliance (VAT, Payroll).
• Personal Attributes: Excellent attention to detail, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and professional communication skills for client interaction.

• Hybrid Working model to promote work-life balance.
