Summary

Calderdale College is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Admissions team. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines administrative responsibilities with direct engagement with prospective students.

As an Admissions Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting applicants through every stage of their journey—from initial enquiry to enrolment. You’ll provide advice and guidance, meet potential students face-to-face, and help ensure a smooth, efficient admissions process that positively impacts conversion rates.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality advice and support to prospective students.
Manage administrative tasks related to applications and enrolments.
Contribute to applicant conversion by ensuring a seamless admissions experience.
Represent the College at events such as open evenings, applicant days, and school visits.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to meet targets and deadlines.

About You:

Confident, approachable, and customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude.
Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a college or educational setting.
Comfortable managing a busy workload and working to deadlines.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ideally educated to Level 3 or equivalent.

This is a predominantly desk-based role, but it offers plenty of opportunities to engage with people and make a real difference in the student experience.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promotes the welfare of all learners and expects its staff to share this commitment. Employment at the College is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. If the post falls under the definition of regulated activity it will also be subject to an additional barred list check.

When we shortlist potential candidates, we will inform those who have been shortlisted that online search maybe conducted as part of the due diligence checks. The college will ensure to communicate the lawful basis on which this personal information will be collected.
