Our client, a well-established and respected building services provider, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Small Works Manager to oversee and grow their portfolio of small-to-medium commercial mechanical projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of commercial mechanical service projects up to £100k.

  
  

• Work collaboratively with the larger MEPH projects division to ensure seamless delivery and alignment.

  
  

• Oversee labour allocation and ensure efficient deployment of resources.

  
  

• Maintain strong Health & Safety, quality and environmental standards across all projects.

  
  

• Lead quoting, design, procurement, and delivery of mechanical works.

  
  

• Identify and secure new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.

  
  

• Provide exceptional customer service and act as a trusted representative on-site.

  
  

• Support and contribute positively to the wider team environment.

  
  

• Confidently survey and price plantrooms and associated systems.

  
  Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong background in commercial mechanical building services.

    
    

  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent small works projects.

    
    

  • Hands-on approach with the technical ability to assess, design, and price solutions.

    
    

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

    
    

  • Motivated, organised and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

    
    

  • Based within a 45-minute commute of Cambridge.
