The Education Network is recruiting a dedicated and motivated Secondary School Teaching Assistant to support a well-established and inclusive secondary school in Bradford. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people succeed and who thrives in a dynamic school environment.
About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning support. You will help promote positive behaviour, encourage engagement in lessons and provide targeted assistance to students who may require additional academic or pastoral support.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 and small-group academic support
- Assist teachers in delivering high-quality classroom activities
- Support students with varying learning needs across a range of subjects
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Prepare learning materials and support lesson organisation
- Promote independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment

Requirements

- Experience supporting young people (school, tutoring or youth work experience is welcomed)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, proactive and supportive approach
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students and staff
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
