(£30,288-£31,611 fte) (Pro Rota = £23,523 - £24,550) Hours: 32.5 hours per week 8:45 – 3:45 Mon to Fri (half hour lunch break) (39 weeks Term time includes 5 days INSET) This is a term time post; holidays may not be taken during term time. Governors, staff and children would like to appoint an excellent experienced Teaching Assistant, qualified to work with children, with at least a level 2 qualification. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching assistant to work with children with behaviour and emotional needs. As a class-based SEN TA, your role would be to support specific children with Special Educational, behaviour and emotional needs. This support will consist of working with a variety of children or 1:1 support, encouraging them to participate during unstructured learning times and engaging them in planned learning activities as directed by the class teacher or other relevant staff such as therapists. Our SEN TA’s form an essential part of classroom learning and emotional support. The successful candidate will be able to establish strong working relationships with both staff and pupils. Experience working with children with SEN, and a good understanding of regulating techniques is essential to the role. You will be an enthusiastic and energetic person with a strong commitment to high quality education, good spoken English, literacy and numeracy skills and experience of working with SEN children with behaviour and emotional needs. You should have relevant qualifications for this post. Visits to the school are welcome by appointment.
