We are currently recruiting experienced and resilient Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs) to work in specialist schools supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
This is a full-time role ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and thrives in a setting where every day is different.
The Role:-
Supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis

Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
-
Assisting with personal care and mobility (where required)

Promoting engagement and independence in learning activities

Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff

Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:-
Proven experience supporting pupils with special educational needs
-
Confidence in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
-
Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure
-
Comfortable working in SEMH or PMLD settings
-
Full-time availability (Monday to Friday) is essential

Team Teach or other de-escalation training is desirable but not essential
